This Privacy Policy applies to the Vedansh Astrology website, learning content, enquiry flows, consultations, residential learning programs and related communications operated under the Vedansh Astrology name.

We aim to handle personal data in accordance with applicable Indian law, including the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 and rules made under it, to the extent and from the time those provisions apply.

2. Information we may receive

Information you provide

• Name, phone number, email address and other contact details.
• Birth date, birth time, birth place and other chart information you provide for a Jyotish consultation.
• Questions, personal context and information voluntarily shared in connection with a consultation, Prashna, Muhurta, relationship, career, timing or other reading.
• Retreat enquiry and booking information, including participant details and information reasonably necessary to organise accommodation, meals and the learning program.
• Messages sent through WhatsApp, email, contact forms or other communication channels.
• Payment and transaction information. Where a third-party payment provider is used, card, UPI or banking credentials are generally handled by that provider rather than stored directly by Vedansh Astrology.

Information generated through website use

The website and the platforms that support it may receive technical information such as IP address, browser/device information, pages visited, referral source, approximate location derived from network information, security logs, cookies or similar identifiers, and performance/analytics information.

3. How we use information

We may use personal information to:

• respond to enquiries and help you choose an appropriate reading, learning path or retreat;
• prepare and conduct astrology consultations and create any agreed written material;
• manage retreat reservations, participant communication and program logistics;
• process or reconcile payments and maintain appropriate business records;

4. “Begin Here”, WhatsApp and direct messages

The website’s “Begin Here” enquiry interface prepares a WhatsApp message based on the information you enter. The answers are not stored by that website interface itself before you choose to continue to WhatsApp.

Once you continue, the message is transmitted through WhatsApp and becomes subject to WhatsApp/Meta’s own privacy practices as well as our handling of the conversation. You can review or edit the prepared message before sending it.

5. Platforms and service providers

Depending on the feature you use, information may be processed by service providers that help us host, secure, communicate, deliver media, send email or process payments. These may include WordPress.com/Automattic, Jetpack, VideoPress, MailPoet, WhatsApp/Meta and payment or banking providers selected for a transaction.
